GIZ, in collaboration with its national partners, developed and submitted a project Concept Note for Iraq to the Green Climate Fund (GCF) Secretariat for appraisal in 2026.
As a part of the funding proposal package, a number of annexes, including Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), E&S Management Framework (ESMF), Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP), possibly Indigenous Peoples" Plan (IPP) as well as Gender Assessment (GA) and Gender Action Plan (GAP) need to be developed to meet the GCF"s environmental and social safeguards (ESS) and gender related principles and requirements.

Therefore, GIZ is seeking specialized expertise for work contract to develop the aforementioned annexes (documents) in compliance with the guidelines and standards set forth by the GCF. Additionally, the consultants will provide written inputs on all gender and ESS aspects of the funding proposal.
