The contractor is responsible for providing the following work packages and for achieving the corresponding milestones:
Work package 1: Contract Management and Administration of short-term expert (STE) pool
The contractor is responsible for the contract management and for ensuring the coherence and complementarity of the contractor"s services with other services delivered by the project at local and national level. This includes the responsibility for checking the use of funds and financial planning in consultation with the officer responsible for the commission at GIZ/
Further the contractor is responsible for selecting, preparing, training and steering consulting services (short term national and international experts) and trainings in the following subject areas:
- Engineering (particularly water and waste management) and IT
- Local economic development and public financial management,
- Support to councillors, Human Rights and gender.
In addition, the contractor is responsible for monitoring of and reporting on these services.
The consulting services need to be accessed flexibly and as needed within the duration of the contract.
Work package 2: Event Coordination
The contractor is responsible for the organisation, coordination, and payment of required venues and / or catering for trainings and workshops.
The services to be delivered by the contractor will be based on individual requests by the GGLA project specified during the duration of the contract. To ensure flexibility, the contractor is expected to adjust their work plan and to react with additional short-term consultants based on what is emerging through the course of the assignment in consultation with GIZ.
