Question 1:
We just wanted to clarify what kind of safety and precautionary measures GIZ will be taking for Indian nationals travelling to Bangladesh for this project. Since there is a level 4 travel ban issued by the MEA, India since August 2024, we were looking for some clarity regarding the same.
Answer 1:
Thanks a lot for your query. According to our security and risk assessment, we do not foresee heightened risk for Indian nationals in Dhaka and other large cities of Bangladesh while carrying out activities including attending meetings, trainings, project visits etc. There is currently no heightened risk for Indian nationals announced by the Bangladesh authorities as well. The assignment is in the area of Dhaka Division only.

Question 2:
I would like to kindly request an extension of the tender submission deadline by a week. Busineness in Bangladesh is not running because of EID hence our partners in Bangladesh are unable to work on the proposal right now. Kindly consider the same so that we can submit a compelling proposal that does justice to the objectives.
Answer 2:
The deadline has been extended until 08 June. We look forward to your proposal.
